Redsparks, founded by Aline and Matt Pfingsten, is a new concept in baby apparel. Upon the birth of their premature daughter, Frankie Marley Pfingsten, Aline realized there was a desparate need for an online destination for mid to high-end clothing, books, developmental toys and games for newborns – preemies in particular. With this in mind, Aline and her husband launched RedSparks, a varitable “one stop shop” for newborn children.
RedSparks is based in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, California. Aline Pfingsten was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. Her family moved to Southern Califorina in 1988, after which she received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a minor in Fashion Merchandising. Matt Pfingsten, her husband of nine years, grew up in Belleville, Illinois, a suburb of St. Louis, MO. He moved to Los Angeles in 1993 to pursue a degree in marketing and graphic design.
“What makes RedSparks different,” states Aline Pfingsten, the company’s founder, “is that we truly care about each and every one of our customers. Having been through the birth of a premature baby ourselves, we understand their concerns and needs, and strive to provide them relief and levity. Our goal is to build RedSparks into a brand that new parents, preemie or not, know they can trust.”
RedSparks features a variety of products and offerings. To begin with, it showcases some of the hottest baby brands on the market today. “I like to stay on the front edge of baby fashion”, says Pfingsten, “but maintain my commitment to quality. Just because its trendy doesn’t mean it’s a great product”. With that concept in mind, Aline has pieced together a unique and eclectic blend of merchandise.
