NexCen Brands Inc parent company of the Waverly brand, introduced this week three new product lines to celebrate the 85th anniversary of Waverly, the premier home fashion brand.
At the beginning of the year, NexCen forged a powerful celebrity relationship with Sandra Lee, the acclaimed life and style expert and star of the Food Network, to promote the Waverly home products brand to a wider audience.
NexCen is marking 2008 as a significant transition year for Waverly. The new collections Favorite Things, Home At Last, and Looking East hark back to a rich past but are a modern take on heritage designed to meet standards of design.
All of these collections pulled inspiration from successful Waverly patterns from the archives and have been reinterpreted to color and texture palettes.
The company also announced that it plans to evolve its offerings into multiple product categories beyond its core living environments.
These new categories include: apparel & accessories, outdoor living, dining & entertaining, bed & bath, travel & leisure, and home organization.
"This partnership embodies the NexCen commitment to reaching consumers in nearly every aspect of their lives from the food they eat to the furnishings in their home and the clothes and footwear they purchase," said Robert W. D'Loren, President and CEO of NexCen Brands Inc.
"Waverly is an important anchor brand in our NexCen Home Studio Division, and we will leverage Sandra's style savvy across the NexCen portfolio of brands to illustrate the strength of the NexCen business model."
