3 Ringed Circus at Amanda Lepore's Big Top

The other night I stopped by Kenny Kenny's new soon-to-be-legendary party for Amanda Lepore. There was enough glitter, sequins and spandex to outfit an entire performing troupe. These 3 girls alone make me (almost) love spandex. And I lovelovelove the gold high tops on the girl in the middle! So nice to see flats on a girl out at night! And the feather earrings on the girl on the left are great as well.

World Famous *BOB* at Deitch Gallery for Liz Renay Retrospective.

,bWe attended the opening for the Liz Renay Retrospective at the Deitch Gallery. While less than impressed with the artwork, we were thrilled to get this photo of burlesque queen extraordinaire World Famous *BOB* posing with her toy poodle Movie Star alongside a diminutive appearing Jeffrey Deitch. *BOB* is a brilliant example of someone who has fearlessly cultivated her own style.

It's that time of year...

while the rest of the world might look to NYC for the parade, my favorite part of Thanksgiving weekend is the unveiling of the holiday windows in the major department stores.
This mannequin was at Bergdorf's which has amazing windows as usual. What's unique this year is that many of the mannequins in their display are vintage and have a madly appropriate melancholy air despite the gorgeous items in the windows...

This is-and isn't-Halloween

Halloween was spent at Webster Hall: a 42,000 square foot nightclub in lower manhattan that is also one of the oldest clubs as well. I like it because it's not hip or trendy in any way but feels like a microcosm of native new yorkers. Where the kids from Saturday Night Fever would go today. So with over 200 photos to sort through and decide which to put up, I decided to put up these 2 taken with an open shutter in the women's bathroom today.

We love fashion week

So as anyone in New York City - or anyone with an internet connection - knows we are currently in fashion week in New York. It has been amazing to attend parties and shows and see celebrities across the runway (our favorite sighting: Serena Williams at the Vivienne Tam show after winning the US Open). But what we've realized is this: the people we love to take pix of are not the celebutantes and those who are well dressed by buying a $1500 dress at Saks Fifth Avenue but those with more ingenuity and style then money. Let's leave the likes of Rachel Zoe and her ilk on the West Coast. We prefer the self stylists such as Eris Incarnate and Dirby seen below.
